Guys,
In efforts to get you more BJJ days and rolling time, we will be adding Thursday night at 7 to the BJJ schedule.

Thursday 7-830
Tuesday is submission wrestling from 6-7 as well…
Also, December will be official belt and stripe testing month. If you to schedule a private to test or work on your game let me know ASAP. December is going to be another crazy month.

Gladiator FC 31 – Results
Here are your results from Saturday night’s event at the Jenkin’s High School. This event ended up with only 7 amateur fights and a pro main event. After speaking with our good friend Butch Hiles it seems that this card was plagued by no show fighters and last minute changes. Originally Matt Garrettson was to fight Ricky Borders in a professional battle but Garretson was suspended by West Virginia for not fighting in an event that didn’t even take place! Wes Lane is still looking for a fight after his scheduled bout failed to take place.
These results have been verified by the Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Authority. The event was overseen by one of Kentucky’s finest, Mr. Todd Neal.

I have had an idea to have an “Ultimate Cardio Challenge” for our cardio class and anyone in the gym who wanted to try. The reason being, it is important to set goals and see improvements because, “he who stops being better, stops being good.”
We need benchmarks to see our improvements and challenges to make us better. So, we will have a fun, healthy competition, with the purpose to see how far you can push yourself and how much you can improve your results in the future. As most of you know, I am, or was, involved with Crossfit in WV. Crossfit has a very similar concept and we will actually use much of their format as a model for our competition because it’s already a worldwide success. However, ours will be different in the fact that we can actually add martial arts to our programming and we can, and will, use many programs that mixed Martial arts competitors already use.
Overview of What Will Happen
Participants will complete a minimum of three workouts in one day to be crowned the Ultimate Cardio Challenge Champion. Each event will be timed, or involve a formula, to have a winner of each portion of the competition. The Goal will be to have an ultimate winner. However, we will also save individual times and repeat these workouts in a future competition to gauge improvements.

Butch Hiles will be doing an anti bullying speech and demonstration tomorrow for healthy kids, healthy wv in Putnam county tomorrow at 1145am.
Please come and support our event or bring your kids and family out.
Directions:
at the commons of Putnam county, in valley park (where the wave pool is). Get off the teays valley exit. Turn left onto 34 towards hurricane. Go about five miles or so. The park is on the right.

Two members of our boxing program signed up for their first amatuer fight on October 15th at the Charleston Civic Center and put on a great show!
Avery Silas won the main event with a great display of boxing skill and Joel lost a close split decision.
Look for them both to be in action soon and possibly this weekend as I hear Joel has every intention to make up for his loss ASAP.

Matt Garretson will be fighting a beast in a pro kickboxing match in Ranson this Saturday (oct 15).
Wes Hanson (title fight), Doug, Matt G, Ryan Shank, and more will be fighting Oct 22 in Jenkins, KY (have tickets for sale at the gym)
Mike Sheppard will be boxing for the title on Oct 22 as well in Atlantic City on 10-22
