Our
Unique Programs Designed for Women
At
Advanced BKJ we offer self-defense, kickboxing, and jiu-jitsu
for women only.
Our
programs are designed for anyone!!! If you just want to stay
in shape, learn self-defense, or go on to competition we have the
right program for you.
Women
have the unique opportunity to train with other women in a variety
of top notch programs. We realize that most women want the
opportunity to train with other women exclusively, and you will have
that opportunity at Advanced BKJ. We are one of the only gyms
that are able to offer this in every area of our training and we
work hard to make sure that each woman has the proper
training. We have a core group of ladies who are already
accomplished athletes and champions and they will help you in the
program of your choice.
Self-Defense
This
program was specifically designed to prepare women for real life
threatening situations.
Our Self Defense techniques provide the knowledge and skills
for any woman to escape from her attacker, whether she is on her
feet or on the ground.
This course is unique because it does not rely exclusively on
punching and kicking, as do many other forms of martial arts.
Punching
and kicking are not effective against an assailant who is bigger,
stronger and capable of hitting back. In addition, they are
useless on the ground, which is where a rapist/attacker is going to
assault a woman.
We offer two different self-defense classes for women, including private

Ladies
Kickboxing
This area of training
is tailored to women who want to learn the real techniques of
kickboxing but also want a cardio flair. Emphasis is on fun,
learning, and getting in shape.
Advanced BKJ features
the only certified Muay Thai/ kickboxing training in the state.

Jiu-Jitsu
Advanced BKJ features
the only Royce Gracie ladies coach in the state. She is a one
stripe blue belt under Royce Gracie and has a list of titles and
accomplishments to her name. This class allows members to
learn the most effective moves on he ground to defeat their opponent
by submission and position.
